- BOONNEE(From the Hindu word Boonna " to weave ".) A plain weave cotton cloth, woven by the natives of India, with either a red or black border. The red border was worn by Hindu and the black by Mohammedan women. Made 36-in. X 10 yards, and coarser in texture than a muslin (see Saree)
